BIO
Born in Caracas Venezuela, Adriana began her dance studies in ballet and jazz, as well as Venezuela folkloric music (tambora) with Diego Alvarez, an internationally known percussionist. At the age of 19, she immersed herself in world of flamenco, dedicating herself fully
to the art.


She studied with many important flamenco artists, among them, Siudy Garrido, Daniela Tugues, Deiweif Stephenson, María Juncal, Alfonso Losa,  Omayra Amaya and Sonia Olla. She has also worked as a flamenco teacher at the Academy Siudy, where she gave beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. At this very academy she presented her first work as a choreographer in the 50-year anniversary celebration.  At the present moment she belongs to the professional flamenco Siudy Dance Company, which has performed in prestigious theaters world wide, and has opened for luminaries such as Diego El Cigala, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Isabel Pantoja, among others.  In 2011 Siudy Garrido became the first Venezuelan company to perform off-broadway. For 3 months the show "Siudy Between Worlds" dazzled North American audiences with an urban flamenco fusion. At the moment the company is touring internationally in the Americas.


After a season in Miami, teaching and rehersing with Siudy Dance Company to perform FALLA & FLAMENCO WITH DUDAMEL at Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA and part of the Premier in Miami of Siudy Flamenco Intimo at Miami dade County Auditorium. She is back to New York getting ready to perform and teach in the city.
