Born in Caracas Venezuela, Adriana began her dance studies in ballet and jazz, as well as Venezuela folkloric music (tambora) with Diego Alvarez, an internationally known percussionist. At the age of 19, she immersed herself in world of flamenco, dedicating herself fully
to the art. She studied with many important flamenco artists, among them, Siudy Garrido, Daniela Tugues, Deiweif Stephenson, María Juncal, Alfonso Losa, Omayra Amaya and Sonia Olla. She has also worked as a flamenco teacher at the Academy Siudy, where she gave beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. At this very academy she presented her first work as a choreographer in the 50-year anniversary celebration. Was part of the Siudy flamenco company for more than 11 years. In this company she has performed with Antonio Canales, Juan Manuel Fernández “Farruquito” Argentina, a flamenco singer. Other highlights include: an off-Broadway production entitled Entre Mundos (2011), performances of selections of Amor Brujo with the LA Philharmonic under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel (2014), the Aspen Chamber Orchestra (2016), and the Miami Symphony Orchestra (2017) and Hollywood Bowl LA Philharmonic (2019). Now is part of the cast Nélida Tirado Company, also pursuing to develop her soloist career. |
